I'm
Hey, I'm Cisco, a self-taught programmer with a background in hospitality management and scuba diving instruction. Coding started as a means to bring my own projects to life, but it quickly became my true passion. With nearly two decades of experience in hospitality and diving, I bring valuable skills like attention to detail, adaptability, and exceptional customer service to the tech industry.
Through self-study and hands-on projects, I've built a solid foundation in Python,
JavaScript, and React. As a quick learner and dedicated team player, I'm eager to take on new challenges
and responsibilities as a junior developer.
What sets me apart is my diverse perspective and worldly experiences. Living in different countries has
given me a deep appreciation for diversity and fresh insights. If my blend of skills and enthusiasm intrigues
you, let's connect and embark on an exciting journey together in creating innovative solutions to real-world
challenges.

Diving Pinoy holds significant value as a web application close to my heart. While residing in the Philippines as a scuba diving instructor, I developed a comprehensive diving guide for Boracay. Inspired to establish an online presence, I aspired to create a booking platform for dive shops on the island. Despite lacking the necessary programming skills at the time, I am now able to transform this vision into reality. Currently serving as a landing page, the future website will promote diving courses, fun diving experiences, responsible and educational diving information, as well as provide updates on island happenings and the diving community. Users will have the opportunity to book dive courses or fun dives.
The Inventory Web Application is a Python and Django-based tool for managing inventory. It allows users to create, edit, and delete suppliers, products, purchase orders, clients, and client orders. Initially developed as a desktop app, it was later recreated as a web app to enhance my understanding of Django. I'm satisfied with the project's outcome and gained valuable insights.
The Quiz App is a JavaScript-based web app designed for quiz enthusiasts. It fetches trivia questions and answers from an external API, validates user-selected answers, and incorporates interactive features like button listeners, audio feedback, and score management. This project aimed to enhance JavaScript proficiency, explore external APIs, and refine app functionality, workflow, and lifecycle comprehension.

Through this web app project, I gained practical knowledge in utilizing props and the useState hook to manage data flow between components. The implementation of event listeners, such as onChange and onSubmit, ensured seamless data updates and efficient form handling in React. This experience significantly enhanced my understanding of data management within the app development process.
